Personal development coaching

Coaching that puts you back in the driver’s seat.

Most people come to me sensing they’re capable of more than the life they’re living now.

Here’s what the work is, how it runs, and what it costs.

What it is

One approach: coaching and NLP together.

What I offer is a single, integrated service: life coaching with NLP as its foundation.

The coaching gives the work direction, where you are now, where you want to be, and the gap to close.

NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) is the practical method underneath it. It’s a way to notice the patterns in how you think and talk to yourself, the unconscious language and triggers that shape how you react, and to reset the ones working against you.

You’re not choosing between coaching and NLP. They’re one thing, and the NLP is what gives the coaching follow-through.

What we work on

Maybe it looks like one of these

A lot of people come to me sensing something’s off but struggling to name it. None of this means you’re broken. It’s just where the pattern tends to show up. See what feels familiar.

When the work looks right from the outside but doesn’t feel right.

  • The Golden Cage: good money and status, but you feel empty and unfulfilled at work.
  • No Boundaries: sixty-hour weeks, unable to say no, on a fast track to burnout.
  • Is This It?: you’ve ticked every box (degree, job, house, partner) and still feel unsatisfied.
  • Drifting: plenty of energy but no roadmap, and the years keep slipping by.

When the hardest voice to live with is your own.

  • The Inner Critic: you speak to yourself in a way you’d never speak to a friend.
  • Never Enough: negative self-talk and people-pleasing, leaning on outside validation to feel worthy.
  • Losing Yourself: after a divorce, retirement, empty nest or career change, you’re not sure who you are anymore.
  • The Invisible Ceiling: you’re capable of more, but you sabotage yourself right at the breakthrough.

When the same dynamics keep repeating with the people who matter.

  • The Same Pattern: you keep attracting the same unavailable partners and want to break the cycle.
  • Feeling Unheard: misunderstood by your partner, family or friends, without the tools to say what you need.
  • The Yes-Man: over-committing to please everyone, left with resentment and no time for yourself.
  • Disconnected: struggling to build deep friendships, or feeling isolated in your current circle.

When you can’t quite make yourself understood, or felt.

  • Can’t Land Your Point: you struggle to get through, and conflict or misunderstanding follows.
  • Invisible in the Room: you fade into the background in meetings or socially, and confidence is hard to project.
  • Conflict-Avoidant: you want to speak up but fear conflict, so you choose comfort over honesty and resent it later.

When you know exactly what to do and still can’t get moving.

  • Chronic Overwhelm: spinning a dozen plates and feeling like you’re failing at all of them.
  • Procrastination: big goals (a book, getting fit, a side hustle) but you can’t get out of your own way.
  • The Accountability Gap: you know what to do, you just don’t follow through without someone holding you to it.
  • Running on Empty: lethargic and uninspired, the fire you used to have is gone.

When something underneath keeps steering, no matter what you try. This is the heart of the NLP work.

  • The “Why Do I Do This?” Loop: a habit you want to break (emotional eating, doom-scrolling, perfectionism) that willpower alone hasn’t touched.
  • The Habit You Can’t Outrun: a habit that’s taken on an almost addictive pull, and you know it’s time for a change.
  • Old Baggage: resentment, guilt or anger from the past distorting how you see the present.
  • Analysis Paralysis: overthinking every decision until you freeze, unable to trust your gut.
  • Triggers You Can’t Control: certain situations or words set off an immediate wave of anxiety or anger you feel powerless over.

Recognize yourself in any of these? That’s the starting point.

Mike Dolinsek listening during a one-to-one coaching session

I feel you, I hear you, and then we move.

Getting to know you comes first, in a relaxed, genuinely safe space, and you’ll always feel heard.

What a session is

A session is strategic recalibration, not just talk.

A session isn’t an hour of venting.

We look at where you want to go, where you’re stuck, and the patterns, beliefs, and reactions sitting underneath.

The past comes up when it’s relevant — NLP often starts there, because patterns have a source. But the work doesn’t stay there. We identify what’s driving it, then use coaching and NLP tools to shift how you respond. I call it strategic recalibration.

It’s hands-on: you’ll often leave with a reflection exercise or a practical tool to work with before we meet again.

The journey

Real change takes a few sessions, not one.

01

The first session

About 30 minutes. We get to know each other, get clear on where you are, and map a path forward. A starting point, not a one-meeting fix.

02

Weekly momentum

Most people feel real movement within three or four sessions. I usually suggest meeting weekly so the work keeps its momentum. Some take longer.

03

As far as you choose

How far we take it is up to you. The packages below are built around that.

Everything happens online over video, so where you live isn’t a factor.

Honest expectations

What coaching can do, and what it can’t.

What it can do

Done well, coaching gives you more agency, a clearer read on your own patterns, and the resilience to move through things instead of staying stuck in them.

What it can’t

It isn’t therapy, a diagnosis, or a guarantee. I’m a coach and NLP practitioner, not a therapist or a crisis service, and what you get out of it depends on the work you put in. If what you’re facing needs clinical support, I’ll tell you, and I’ll point you toward the right kind of help.

“The patterns running your life were learned from the experiences you have had in your past. Anything learned can be reset.”

Pricing

Clear pricing, no guessing.

Three ways to work together, each paid upfront.

I keep pricing public, because I found the opposite frustrating when I was looking for help myself. Paying upfront keeps the commitment real, and commitment is what makes the work actually stick. There’s no online checkout: once we’ve talked and you’re ready, I’ll walk you through payment directly.

Single session

A goal-oriented or exploratory session. Good if you’re curious, want to work on one specific thing, or want to feel out whether coaching is for you.
