Where it starts
Most of us are running on autopilot.
You handle what’s in front of you, but you can feel you’re capable of more.
You get through the day, manage what needs managing, and still carry a quiet sense that something’s off. It might show up as the same patterns repeating, a reaction you wish you could change, or a direction you can’t quite find. That isn’t a flaw in you. It’s autopilot, and autopilot can be switched off. The shift isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about learning to take the wheel.
Putting words to it
Maybe it looks like one of these
Sometimes the hardest part is naming what you’re feeling. See if any of these land.
- You speak to yourself in a way you’d never speak to a friend.
- Negative self-talk and people-pleasing, leaning on outside validation to feel worthy.
- After a big life change, you’re not sure who you are anymore.
- You keep attracting the same unavailable partners and want to break the cycle.
- Feeling unheard by your partner, family or friends.
- Over-committing to please everyone, left with resentment.
- You struggle to land your point, and conflict or misunderstanding follows.
- You fade into the background in meetings or socially.
- You want to speak up but fear conflict, so you stay quiet.
- Spinning a dozen plates and feeling like you’re failing at all of them.
- Big goals, but you can’t get out of your own way.
- You follow through only when someone’s holding you to it.
- A habit you want to break that willpower alone hasn’t touched.
- A habit that’s taken on an almost addictive pull, and you know it’s time for a change.
- Old resentment or guilt distorting how you see the present.

There’s a method underneath it.
Coaching and NLP, used together to reset the patterns running underneath your decisions.
NLP is the practical half: how we find the patterns you run without noticing, and change them. The coaching gives that work a direction.
Explore the coachingWhat makes it different is where it comes from.
Twelve years in behaviour-focused social service, and a decade building my own business. Two halves of the same job: meeting you where you actually are, and getting you somewhere.
You leave with a toolkit you keep using, not just a listening ear.
How it works
Getting started is simpler than you’d expect.
Three steps, no pressure, no heavy intake forms.
01
Reach out
Send a short message through the form. No long questionnaire.
02
We talk
I’ll get back to you to set up a relaxed first conversation, about 30 minutes over video, to understand where you are and find a path forward. No commitment.
03
Get to work
Ongoing sessions, usually weekly. Most people start to feel real movement within three or four.
“The people who thrive aren’t more talented. They just learned to get out of their own way.”

A bit about me
I’ve made the same shift myself.
I’ve always been fascinated by why people do what they do. That curiosity carried me through social service work, into running my own business, and deep into the study of human behaviour and NLP, and eventually into coaching, where I help people make the same shift I had to make myself: from autopilot to intention.
What clients say
In their words.
“I’d been running on autopilot for years without realising it. A few sessions in, I finally felt like I was making decisions instead of reacting to them.”

Worked through a career change
“Mike didn’t hand me a lecture, he gave me practical tools I still use every week. The negative self-talk that used to run the show is a lot quieter now.”

Navigating burnout
“I came in stuck and left with a direction I actually believe in. Calm, no pressure, and it genuinely changed how I approach things.”
